Crews are working to determine the cause of a duplex fire in Lincoln's North Bottoms neighborhood.
Firefighters arrived on scene at 1309 New Hampshire St. just before 8 a.m. Monday.
Officials say residents in the south end of the duplex called to report smoke coming from the roof of the north end.
Residents evacuated the building. Crews say a firewall between the two residences kept the fire from spreading.
Fire inspectors are on the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
