The three began pounding on the front door and yelling loudly about 5:30am. When deputies answered the door, the three asked about the bond amount of someone who was incarcerated in the Detention Center. Deputies described the three as extremely intoxicated, belligerent and verbally abusive toward the deputies for no reason.
The deputies asked the three to lower their voices and speak in a calm manner. The three did not comply. They were asked to leave. They failed to do so. After they were advised they were under arrest, there was a short physical altercation. Placed under arrest were 31-year old Aaron Burr, 23-year old Catie Tellinghuisen, and 61-year old Thomas Sailors all of Beatrice.
Once in the Detention Center, deputies say they found a bag of marijuana in the pocket of Thomas Sailors. He was booked for drug possession and loitering about a penal institution. Tellinghuisen and Burr were booked for resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, and loitering about a penal institution.
