Darryn Henderson (left) & Shane Pankievicz (right) were arrested following a fight outside a Lincoln bar. October 2011.
Lincoln police say when a man was escorted out of a bar due to his level of intoxication Saturday night, he didn’t like it. Witnesses say 22-year old Phillip Hawkins tried to force his way back in to the Hour Lounge. However, Hawkins fell back, striking his head, after a security employee pushed him from the doorway.
Police say Hawkins’ friend, Darryn Henderson of Omaha charged the security employee, and punched him in the head. When officers witnessed the assault they tried to take Henderson into custody, but they say he resisted.
As others tried to help, an officer deployed his taser on Henderson.
While all of that was happening, police say 24-year old Shane Pankievicz of Omaha was yelling profanities and enticing the crowd that had gathered. After refusing to leave and encouraging Hawkins and Henderson, Pankievicz was arrested for failing to comply, failing to disperse, and resisting arrest.
Henderson was arrested for resisting arrest, failing to comply, and assault.
Hawkins was transported to a hospital to be treated for his head injury. He was cited and released for trespass, refusing to comply and hindering arrest.
