A South Dakota man is jailed for Driving While Intoxicated after a Nebraska State Patrol trooper stopped his vehicle traveling more than 100 mph on Highway 81 south of Norfolk.
Just after 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, a trooper stopped a red 1999 Ford Explorer for speeding, on Highway 81, three miles south of Norfolk. The vehicle was initially clocked at 96 mph in a 55 mph zone. The vehicle sped up to 111 mph prior to being stopped by the trooper.
The driver of the vehicle, Caleb A. Minerd, 27, Wakonda, S.D., was lodged in the Madison County jail on charges of Driving While Intoxicate and speeding.
