Drug Theft From Care Facility

Theft of drugs from care center leads to charge.

Scott Tingelhoff, Saunders County Attorney, reports Nicole Chase was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class IV Felony, which has a maximum sentence of 5 years imprisonment and Theft by Unlawful Taking, a class II Misdemeanor, which has a maximum sentence of 6 months imprisonment. She is scheduled to appear in the Saunders County Court for Felony First Appearance on November 20, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

On October 13th, an officer with Ashland Police Department received a report of possible theft of prescription narcotics from the Ashland Care Center. After an investigation, it was determined that Nicole Chase had taken Oxycodone from the facility.
