Drought Dust Off Tornadoes

There is actually some good news coming out of drought conditions that have dried up our area.

State Climatologist are telling us the extreme dry conditions have helped to keep tornadoes at bay. According to officals Iowa is on pace to see the quietest tornado season in almost 50 years, because of the drought.

Iowa has recorded just 16 tornadoes this year, that’s the lowest since 1963.
