A driver managed to escape injury when he lost control of his car, struck a light pole, crashed through a fence and went down an embankment, nearly landing on the JFK Expressway.
Police say the vehicle left the road on South 24th Street just south of Q Street. The driver was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.
