A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a car near 33rd and Dodge in Omaha Saturday morning.
Police say 20-year-old Michael MacFarland of Hastings, Nebraska was crossing Dodge in an area with no crosswalk when a westbound car driven by 26-year-old Adam Podraza of Omaha hit MacFarland around 3 a.m. Podraza drove off, but returned a short time later.
MacFarland was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center for treatment of a dislocated hip, a broken tibia and a head laceration. He is expected to recover.
Podraza was booked for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, DUI causing serious bodily injury and driving during suspension.
