A 37-year-old man was killed when his car hit a cow in southeast Nebraska Thursday morning.
The man was driving to work in Lincoln when the accident occurred just before 6 a.m. The Otoe County Sheriff's Department says the car was on State Spur 66A south of Palmyra when it hit the cow, which was standing on the roadway.
A passer-by saw the car in a roadside ditch and called for help. The victim's name has not been released.
