A Springfield, Illinois man was killed and an Omaha man injured in a two-vehicle collision near Macy, Nebraska Wednesday morning.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 62-year-old Robert Meiron was driving south on U.S. Highway 75 when his car crossed the center line and ran into an SUV driven by 35-year-old Gary Collins of Omaha around 10:30 a.m.
Meiron was pronounced dead at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City and Collins was taken to Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa for treatment of a rib injury. He was in stable condition.
