A driver who fled the scene of a property damage accident was caught by police after a brief chase Friday night.
Thirty-two-year-old Ronald Ford Jr. allegedly sideswiped a parked car near North 25th and Laurel avenues around 8:45 p.m. The owner of the damaged car approached Ford, who drove off as officers arrived.
Ford stopped near 25th and Browne, got out and ran, but was apprehended a short time later. He was booked for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, flight to avoid arrest, driving without a license and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
