A 34-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon in a crash south of Wahoo, Nebraska.
The Saunders County Sheriff's Department says the driver ran a stop sign at Highway 66 while heading northbound on County Road 17, about two miles south of Wahoo. The car collided with an eastbound semi driven by a 50-year-old woman from Casey, Iowa.
The car was dragged several hundred feet east before the vehicles came to a stop. The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say he'd recently moved to the area.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
