Police were called after a man on a stolen motorcycle ditched it to steal a truck, officers were able to track down the suspect, who ended up crashing into a metro school on Monday afternoon.
La Vista and Omaha Police caught up to the suspect after he hit the brick building of St. Peter and Paul Catholic School near 36th and X streets. Thankfully, school was not in session today.
The truck belonged to a local mowing service and the driver said he just turned away for a moment and it was stolen.
The suspected thief was taken into custody a few blocks from the crash. He faces several felony charges.
The truck and building had minimal damage. No one was hurt.
