A man died after crashing a stolen car into a traffic light pole in Lincoln Thursday morning.
Police say the car was speeding on the wrong side of the street when it jumped the curb, knocked down a speed limit sign and rammed into the pole near 48th and Fremont streets just before 9 a.m.
Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs said the car had been reported stolen before the accident. State records say it is owned by a woman who lives in Dorchester, Nebraska.
The man's name hasn't been released.
