A driver was seriously injured in an Omaha interstate crash Wednesday morning.
Police say an SUV struck a guard rail, causing it to flip over on northbound Interstate 480 at Woolworth just after 2:30 a.m. Twenty-one-year-old Jario Mejia-Garcia of Omaha was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center for head injuries not considered to be life threatening.
The accident closed two lanes of northbound I-480 for more than two hours.
