A flock of blue will cover Creighton University's campus Tuesday morning. The Creighton Pathway, as it's called, will ring in the new academic year with plenty of Bluejay pride.
More than a thousand new students, wearing their blue "game day" shirts, will embark on an emblematic walk after a short program at 10 a.m. The walk will begin at St. John's Church, the heart of the campus, following the cobblestone walkway down to the D.J. Sokol arena.
The students will be joined by academic and University leaders, also dressed in blue, to start the procession. Current students, faculty and staff will line the pathway, cheering for the new students as they make their way through.
The Creighton Pathway is an annual tradition, now, designed by Welcome Week organizers. It precedes the Academic Convocation at the D.J. Sokol Arena.
