A panel of experts is set to discuss the 1913 Easter Sunday tornado that reaped destruction throughout Douglas County.
The talk is sponsored by the Douglas County Historical Society and the panel will include historians, a meteorologist and a reporter. The discussion will also feature an excerpt of a coming Nebraska Educational Telecommunications documentary, "Devil Clouds: Tornadoes Strike Nebraska."
The presentation is scheduled for 2 p.m., March 10th at Metropolitan Community College's Fort Omaha Campus. Reservations are required and seating is limited. Admission is free for historical society members and $5 is requested of non-members.
The March 23, 1913 tornado claimed 103 lives and destroyed or damaged thousands of homes.
