Douglas County's Sheriff Tim Dunning has launched his bid for re-election.
Dunning, who has served since 1994, says under his leadership the department has never been over budget and spending has decreased. He also oversaw expansion of the county's crime lab, paid for with money seized from drug crimes.
Currently, he's running unopposed but challengers can still file until March 3rd.
