Through Friday, the Douglas County Health Department is celebrating National Public Health Week.

The County Health Department will offer you more information on health matters affecting residents.

Monday, April 7th — Be Healthy from the Start – public health starts at home.

Tuesday, April 8th — Don’t Panic – disasters can happen anywhere, at any time.

Wednesday, April 9th — Get out Ahead – preventing diseases should be just as important as treating them.

Thursday, April 10th — Eat Well – the average American eats 15 more pounds of sugar in a year not than in 1970. Learn about healthy eating efforts in Douglas County.

Friday, April 11th — Be the Healthiest Nation in One Generation - What can we learn from public health initiatives to improve the health of the next generation?
