A doll collection worth nearly $10,000 is gone and an Omaha apartment complex could be left paying for it after renting the same garage to two different tenants.

Debbie Landonne says she rented Garage 82 about six weeks ago but knew something was wrong when she opened it last week. "There was a car in there and it didn't belong to me or my daughter," Landonne said.

After talking with people in the complex she found the owner of the car who said she had rented the garage a few days earlier. When the second renter opened the garage for the first time she found boxes that she didn't realize belonged to Landonne.

"The building people told her that the stuff was abandoned so she opened it up to whoever wanted them," recalled Landonne.

The management team at the Pine Tree Apartment complex has promised Landonne that they will work to get as many of the dolls back as possible. Her collection, valued at more than $8,000 included dolls worth hundreds of dollars still in their original packaging.

We contacted Pine Tree management but they did not return our calls.
