Happy Paws Animal Group and the Plattsmouth Animal Shelter will benefit from the 6th annual “Doggy Day” at Bloom Where You’re Planted Farm.
On Saturday (10/6) farm owners Terry and Teresa Lorensen are inviting visitors to bring their canine companions to the farm for a day of exercise and farm sights and smells. Doggy admission is $4 which will be donated to the Plattsmouth Animal Shelter and Happy Paws, a pet advocacy group that supports the shelter. Donation jars will be in place so that even those who don’t bring a dog can still show their support.
The Cassgram reports volunteers from the organizations will be onsite throughout the day with literature and pets which can be adopted from the shelter.
Bloom Where You’re Planted Farm is located at 911-108th St., rural Avoca. It is open 10am to 6pm. For directions and more on their fall events and hours of operation, visit www.bloompumpkinpatch.com.
