Sirens will be sounding and ambulances coming to and going from Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue on Thursday, but it's only a drill.
The base is taking part in a national Disaster Medical System exercise between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to prepare in the event of a major disaster.
Mock patients will be "flown" in and Offutt personnel will help local emergency responders take them to area hospitals.
