A jury has convicted a former Dubuque County, Iowa sheriff's deputy of stalking, but acquitted him on a burglary charge.
The jury returned the verdict on Friday in the case against James Doyle. He faces up to two years in prison.
Doyle was accused of making a series of threats against Randy Hansen, who was dating Doyle's ex-wife. Prosecutors say Doyle made threatening phone calls to Hansen beginning in September 2010 in an effort to break up the relationship. Doyle was also accused of breaking into Hansen's garage and damaging a boat.
