A law enforcement officer in southeastern Nebraska has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Gage County Deputy John Patsch was pulled over within the city limits of Beatrice early Saturday morning. In a statement, the sheriff’s office says Patsch has been reassigned form his duties as a road patrol deputy.
Disciplinary proceedings are also underway according to the sheriff department’s policy. The statement says the department will respect Patsch’s constitutional presumption of being innocent until proven guilty.
