A fire that started on a deck spread to a Bellevue home causing an estimated $50,000 in damage.
Bellevue fire officials say the fire started around 10:40 Monday evening at a home near 3500 W. Dutchman Circle. Firefighters arrived to heavy flames in the rear of the home.
Three people were in side the house at the time of the fire and all were able to escape. One of the occupants received attention from medics on location.
The fire started on a deck and rolled up the back wall of the home and into the eaves and soffet before spreading into the interior ceiling of the kitchen and dining room areas.
Damage to the home was estimated at $50,000. The house is uninhabitable.
The state Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
