A Sarpy County Sheriff's Department deputy reports he did not seek out a drunk driving suspect. The suspect found the deputy. The deputy was stopped at a red light at JFK and Cornhusker about 1:35 a.m. Wednesday when a pickup rear-ended him.

Thirty-three-year-old Donald Johnson of Bellevue allegedly fled the scene, but was detained a few blocks away and booked for first offense drunk driving, flight to avoid arrest, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and following too closely.

Both vehicles had minor damage. Neither driver was hurt.
