Crooks are targeting Benson's Plant Rescue organization.
For the second time in three weeks, the shop at 72nd and Maple was broken into.
Thieves busted out two front door windows over Memorial Day weekend stealing about $75 in cash while leaving behind hundreds of dollars in damage.
Then, two days ago they broke out a small window in the back door, stealing machinery which a member had donated for use.
This time the loss is about $900.
"We have put in unbreakable glass in the doors now and we are going to be installing security cameras but basically for small time theft like this there's very little that you can do," Dr. David Hibler with Benson Plant Rescue said.
The crimes won't deter the group from its mission. This weekend, they are holding a free vegetable plant giveaway.
They will be given away from 10 until 6 or while supplies last.
