OMAHA Bigger rewards offered by Omaha Crime Stoppers appear to be making a difference.
WOWT 6 News has confirmed that $35,000 will be paid out for two recent arrests.
Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer announced that a generous donation would add to reward money back in April. At the time he said the money came from someone who wished to remain anonymous. That donation increased the reward in shootings to $10,000 and $25,000 for homicides.
According to police, two recent tips led to arrests. One of the arrests was linked to a murder charge, the other a shooting arrest.
A police spokesman said that particulars of the cases couldn't be released because they want to protect tipsters and their investigations.
