Fire crews responded to the report of a fire inside the Hy-Vee at 35th and L early Thursday morning.
Just after 4:30 a.m., crews found smoke coming out of the south side of that building. Once they entered, they put out a fire in the shelves of the store's meat department.
Everyone inside was evacuated safely for a time. But crews had the fire put out and everything back to normal in about 10 minutes.
Investigators are now looking into how the fire started.
