A Lincoln man survived a violent crash near Bennington March 16th. Richard Cain was stranded for hours and taken to the hospital in critical condition.
A week later, his family comes to the crash location for the first time. It was a tough moment.
"I don't see too many people surviving an accident like this. I mean, taking out two trees," said Jeremiah Cain, victim's son.
Richard crashed down a steep, brushy embankment. From the road it is near impossible to see where the truck came to a halt.
It's that fact that makes the family very thankful to the man that rescued Richard: Jim Musel.
"I think if Jim wasn't out there working his cattle that day. I don't think my dad would be around today," said Jeremiah.
The Cain family want Musel to receive an award.
