Bond was set Thursday at 10 percent of $50,000 for an Omaha man now charged with motor vehicle homicide.
Twenty-one-year-old Sergio Valdivia-Marquez is accused of speeding through a red light and driving under the influence when he allegedly slammed into the driver's side door of another car at 72nd and Grover early last Saturday morning.
The driver of that vehicle, 18-year-old Michael Tran of Omaha, was critically injured and died Wednesday at the Nebraska Medical Center after being removed from life support.
