Crash investigators released new information Monday night about a crash which shut down a portion of Interstate 80 east of Lincoln. They say the driver of an SUV lost control after a tire blew near Waverly.
The crash happened just after noon Monday at mile marker 412. The Nebraska State Patrol says the driver, 23-year-old Cameron McCurn of Lincoln had to be freed from the SUV. He was flown to a Lincoln hospital. Passenger 23-year-old Lakresha Patterson and three children, aged 2, 1, and 3 months were taken by ambulance to a hospital.
