A husband and wife from Indiana were hospitalized after a motorcycle accident on Interstate 80 Wednesday afternoon.
They have been identified as 56-year-old Donald Timm and 55-year-old Mary Timm.
As of Thursday morning, Donald remained in critical condition and Mary was upgraded to serious condition.
Sarpy County Sheriff's Department Lt. Mike Erhart told Channel 6 News witnesses said the motorcycle started fishtailing before falling to one side and hitting the median barricade along westbound I-80 between highways 50 and 370 just before 3 p.m.
When deputies arrived they found the bike laying on top of Donald Timm. He was taken from the scene by medical helicopter to Alegent Creighton University Medical Center for treatment of a head injury. His wife went to CUMC by ambulance. Both were wearing helmets.
The crash closed the westbound lanes for 45 minutes.
