An Omaha City Councilman is considering a run for Congress.
Councilman Pete Festersen told Channel Six Thursday, that he's mulling a run for Nebraska's Second Congressional District.
Rep. Lee Terry currently holds that seat.
Festersen says he's received local and national encouragement to throw his hat in the ring.
He's discussing it with family and friends.
When asked what would make him run, the City Council President had this to say:
"There is widespread dissatisfaction with the inability of Congress to address our nation's challenges. We need more people willing to work together to get things done."
Festersen was elected to the City Council in 2009. He represents District One.
