Council Bluffs Trees Forever Sponsors Residential Tree Program

Council Bluffs Trees Forever is sponsoring the Residential Tree Program for MidAmerican Energy Company customers again this spring.

Applications are available online at www.cbparksandrec.org at the Plant Some Shade Program link under the “City Trees” tab. You can also pick up an application at the Pottawattamie County Conservation office in the courthouse annex at 223 South 6th Street in Council Bluffs.

Tree purchase is first come, first served and limited to two per household to ensure all customers have an opportunity to purchase trees. Tree species available for purchase are Bur Oak, Sugar Maple, Hackberry, Glenleven Littleleaf Linden, Redbud and Norway Spruce. The cost of a tree is $30 and applications will be accepted until April 22nd. Trees must be picked up Saturday, April 27th between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. at Harrah’s, One Harrah’s Blvd., Council Bluffs, Iowa.
