A man was arrested Friday morning for stealing copper from a building destroyed by fire earlier in the week.
Officers called to the former Keystone Pharmacy near North 72nd and Maple streets in Omaha just before 8 a.m. observed the suspect inside the fenced-off area removing copper.
Forty-eight-year-old Russell Rawson ran from the scene, but was taken into custody after a one-block chase. He faces charges of theft and obstructing a peace officer.
A three-alarm fire destroyed the structure last Sunday night.
