Taxpayers and ballplayers are the latest victims of copper theft.
La Vista police tell Channel Six News that copper wiring has been pulled from the light poles at one field in the La Vista Sports Complex near 60th and Harrison.
Due to the holiday, a damage assessment has been made by work crews and it's too early to tell if the theft will cause any delays in fall softball or youth football.
