A man convicted last week of murder is asking for a new trial.
Terrell Newman and Derrick Stricklin were both found guilty on all seven counts they faced in the execution-style killing of Carlos Morales and Bernardo Noriega in an Omaha auto body shop last December.
After more than a week of testimony and almost eight hours of deliberation, the jury came back with the verdict.
Newman filed a motion for the new trial claiming there were irregularities in the proceedings and not enough evidence to support the verdict.
