The Nemaha County Sheriff's Department has identified the worker found dead Tuesday at the Cooper Nuclear Power Plant near Brownville, Nebraska as 66-year-old Ronald Nurney of Smithfield, Virginia.

The Nebraska Public Power District says the contract worker was found in Cooper's reactor building between 7:30 and 8 a.m. The utility believes Nurney died of natural causes.

The plant is located about 80 miles south of Omaha.
