Construction work on Interstate-80 west of Lincoln is expected to begin Monday and slow traffic in the areas for roughly a year.
The Nebraska Department of Roads says the $9.3 million project
to repair about 14 miles of the highway will begin on Monday.
Werner Construction will be repairing pavement and bridge decks
in the area as part of the project and laying new asphalt.
Drivers can expect occasional lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound lanes while work is being done, and speed limits will be reduced.
The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2012.
