Metro drivers are getting in sync with the Dodge Street construction but some metro bus riders are still trying to figure out the transportation shuffle.
The construction has forced some bus detours. You can keep track of the latest on the Metro Web site.
When Ryann Mathias moved to Omaha from Denver, he expected some bumps along the way but he told us, "This bus is just driving me nuts. It's hard to get from A to B when you don't have a car. So, it's just a pain."
The recent changes in bus service along Dodge, aren't helping.
"We are just on our way to Oakview right now and it has taken us what like two hours now. So, that used to be like a 45 minute trip,. So, it is taking forever now."
Mathias has company. Downtown and Westroads riders are all adjusting to new Metro routes. For westbound travelers, buses are diverted to the south at 29th Street and then west up Farnam to 44th.
Those heading east are detoured to Harney between 42nd and Park Avenue before heading back over to Dodge.
And don't bother trying to catch a bus on Dodge between 53rd and 44th. There's no service there during the construction. Your best options are the midtown Transit center to the east, and 54th Street to the west.
