If summer travel plans have you heading west, keep in mind work is scheduled to begin Sunday night on a 28-mile stretch of Interstate 80. The project is expected to be finished by November.
The Nebraska Roads Department says the work will include bridge, pavement and culvert repairs and asphalt overlay. The project runs from the Waco exit (360) in York County west to the Hampton exit (332) in Hamilton County.
Most of the work will be done between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Motorists can expect lane closures and lower speeds.
