Conservation Reserve Program public informational meetings are scheduled across the state throughout May so landowners can learn about the May 20-June 14 Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) general signup.
CRP offers stable financial incentives for less productive acres, small fields and odd-shaped areas within productive fields. Participants are encouraged to enroll in CRP through the U.S. Department of Agriculture now. Rental rates have been updated across the state and some county rates have increased significantly.
The meetings are free and no registration is required.
The following is a list of meetings by date:
May 9 – Lincoln, UNL Extension Service, 444 Cherry Creek Road, 2:30 p.m.
May 15 – Fairbury, Union Bank and Trust, 1313 K St., 9 a.m.
