The new Ralston Arena opens Friday night with a concert by country music star Rodney Atkins.
The show at the facility near 73rd and Q streets begins at 7:30 p.m.
Businesses in the area hope to get some of the crowd in their establishments. “We obviously think this will have a huge impact on our business, it was one of the reasons we love this location,” says Jeff Daley of Ragazzi’s pizza. “It’s also being in the Ralston/Papillion corridor, so we're really excited about the opening tonight.”
The arena will be home to a number of sporting events, concerts and other activities and features free parking.
