A Western Iowa woman is a suspect in a case of misusing a company credit card to the tune of $8,000.
According to Omaha Police reports, the attorney for employee affairs for West Corporation was told the misuse of the company issued credit card began in 2011, but it wasn't until late April, 2013 that the possible embezzlement was discovered.
The attorney told police the company became aware of the misuse when the internal auditing department noticed an "odd entry."
The manager of a 49-year-old woman who had access to the card was also contacted.
The suspect is no longer working for the company.
The report states a portion of the unauthorized charges was held back from the suspect's final check.
No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
