Thanks to a group of College of Saint Mary's students, more than 200 girls were able to select a prom dress - free of charge.
College of Saint Mary’s Student Education Association of Nebraska (SEAN) members collected dresses and accessories to donate to Omaha South High School students.
It was all part of CSM’s 17th Annual Spirit of Service Day.
Earlier this month, SEAN members went to South High to help students select dresses.
“There is nothing like seeing young women feel strong and beautiful. Watching these young women select just the right dress was a gift for everyone involved,” says Dr. Dee Acklie, CSM Education Associate Professor.
CSM’s SEAN organization hopes to continue the for many years to come.
South High’s Prom will take place on Saturday, April 26th at the Kroc Center.
