If you’re currently a parent or going to be one soon, then you probably children can get into everything, so it’s important to learn CPR and other safety measures in order to protect them.
Alegent-Creighton Health currently has classes where you can learn all those things including CPR, first aid, poison control, and safe sleeping.
The classes are geared towards new parents, those expecting, or even grandparents.
Matthew Connolly attended the class Saturday and said, “We just know that having a little one around the house, she's going to have some issues every once in a while, so we need to be ready for them as best we can."
CPR Instructor Dana Crispin said, “I think anything you do for the safety of your child is very important. Especially for new parents. It's a learning tool and children can get into anything."
Crispin said even if you know adult CPR, infant CPR is different, so you’ll want to take the classes.
