Christ the King Church in Omaha was placed on lockdown Friday night during a spaghetti feed while police searched for an alleged armed juvenile suspect.
Police were first called out to a home near 87th and Harney around 2 p.m. When officers arrived at a woman’s home her son ran out of the residence and officers lost sight of him.
Then a couple hours later police were called out again to the home. This time the woman said she saw her son walking in the neighborhood, she called his name, and he displayed a firearm.
When officers responded they spotted the juvenile and he ran again. A perimeter was set up and they searched with K-9's. The church in the area was briefly locked down.
The suspect ended up being caught on Saturday.
