Students hoping to land a job in aviation got an up close look at a helicopter.
"Able One" put down on the Burke high practice field. Two Omaha police pilots showed the students from Mr. Ryan’s aeronautics class all of the special equipment they use. That includes a spotlight and night vision camera.
Tanner Hoffschneider a senior student says, "It's definitely really complicated and it's a lot more work than I thought they had to do for their job."
The teacher Patrick Ryan says, "To get up close to a helicopter is something they normally wouldn't get to do and to see them walk away with a feeling that hey this may be something I want to do."
Joining the Burke aeronautics class were special needs students who got to see the helicopter land and take off.
