It's hard to tell a child they can't celebrate Halloween when they're sick or injured.
For many parents with kids at Children's Hospital in Omaha though, this wasn't a problem.
Kids still got to dress up in their costumes and attend a fall festival.
Patients got to attend a mini carnival where they made crafts, played games, and won prizes.
Parents say this opportunity meant a lot to the kids.
“Oh I think this is just awesome. I think this is just what she needed to kind of lift her spirits, and give her something to look forward to, and smile,” said Deb Dahl, one parent.
The festival was hosted by regional Wal-Mart and Sam's Club employees.
